Nationwide Boiler Inc., known for innovation in the industry, has announced their latest product to market: the DataStak™. The DataStak™ is a cost effective, packaged emissions and efficiency monitoring system with O2, NOx, CO and CO2 measurements, in addition to real time boiler efficiency, fuel usage, and carbon footprint calculation. It is an alternative for large, intricate CEMS systems offering similar functionality and abilities at a fraction of the cost. The system utilizes two separate panels; an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC with touch screen operation and a high quality electrochemical analyzer system, and works independently from existing boiler controls. It is a stand-alone product and can be retrofitted to any boiler system.

The DataStak™ has been engineered to fulfill monitoring requirements in certain air districts in California, including the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Specifically, the system will meet most of the SSP-1105 Emissions Monitoring for Rules 4305, 4306 for the SJVAPCD and ASTM D6522-00 standard for the SCAQMD. The operator interface panel is built to NEMA 4 and UL508 standards, and the emissions monitoring equipment is built to ISO standards.

“In today’s marketplace, energy and facility engineers need to have real time NOx and CO calculations at their fingertips, and they need to also know the efficiency, fuel usage, and the calculated carbon footprint of their boilers. They need data that is easily available for AQMD reporting purposes.  The DataStak™ is more than just a combustion or NOx analyzer.

The fact that it provides the carbon footprint, boiler efficiency, and CO2 data separates the system from what is currently on the market. We developed this product with the end user in mind and a goal of making their job easier,” stated Larry Day, President of Nationwide Boiler.

Nationwide Boiler debuted the DataStak™ at the California League of Food Processor’s Expo in Sacramento, CA in February. The company will provide its first unit to a new manufacturing facility located in Newark, CA for a 475 hp firetube boiler. Contact Nationwide Boiler at 1-800-227-1966 for more details.

One of Nationwide Boiler’s advantages to our customers is having both brand new boilers and good quality, reconditioned boilers in-stock and available for immediate purchase. Recently, we increased our equipment inventory by purchasing some brand new boilers to offer for quick or immediate purchase.

First, we have three brand new Superior boilers currently in production, which are replacements of the three in-stock units we recently sold. These 47.5 hp, 119 hp, and 475 hp boilers are all designed at 250 psig for a large range of operating capabilities. All boilers include a Powerflame ultra low NOx burner, capable of firing natural gas. The two smaller units include a duplex feedwater system with condensate return tank and preheater, and an ASME blowdown separator with aftercooler package, both mounted and pre-piped. This factory integrated skid design reduces installation time and costs.

Also in production are two new Cleaver-Brooks firetube boilers, 500 hp and 800 hp.These boilers are also designed at 250 psig and will include low NOx burners capable of firing natural gas or #2 oil.

And we can't leave out our latest innovation, the world's first 1,000 hp mobile boiler room! It is currently in production in Hutchinson, KS and scheduled to be ready for service along with the other new units in mid-April.

The new Superior boilers will be stored at our headquarters in Fremont, CA, while the new Cleaver-Brooks boilers will reside on the East Coast.

Last weekend Nationwide Boiler hosted sales representatives from across the globe for a Nationwide Sales Rep Team Meeting. We felt it would be good for each of our reps to get to know each other, and for our reps to meet all of the members of the Nationwide Boiler team.

The weekend began on Thursday evening with a “meet and greet” social hour at the Doubletree hotel in Newark, CA. Friday morning the meeting commenced with a buffet breakfast and an introduction by each representative company. The theme for the event became known early on as “Don’t Let Us Drop the Ball”.

Throughout the day, topics of discussion included communication, sales support, boiler rentals and equipment sales, environmental issues and products, and branding. We wanted to make sure, as a company, Nationwide provides our partner reps with complete transparency as well as all of the resources required to successfully market Nationwide Boiler’s equipment and services to our potential clients in their respective territories. And we want to make sure that we “don’t drop the ball” on any current or potential jobs. We ended the day with a cocktail hour followed by a tappenyaki style dinner at Nijo Castle.

On Saturday, we invited all attendees to our shop for a tour of our 26,000 sq. ft. facility. We were able to have quite a few pieces of equipment on display for those reps who had yet to see our boilers in person. After the tour, we headed to Leman’s Karting for an exciting team building racing event.

All in all, it was a successful and fun weekend. We hope that our reps are now more educated and confident in promoting Nationwide Boiler to the world!
