CataStak is a portable, low-temperature Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. It is capable of reducing NOx emissions by over 90% to less than 5 PPM. CataStak consists of a single-reactor housing with catalyst and an ammonia injection skid. The skid holds three ammonia cylinders, an ammonia header, and associated instrumentation and controls.
The
CataStak is available with most Nationwide Boiler rental units and is also available as an add-on for existing and new package boilers. It can be installed either vertically or horizontally and has been successfully installed in applications ranging from 800 HP to 200,000 PPH. It has been proven in over sixty installations nationwide and is the most reliable and proven solution in the industry for package boilers.
As allowable stack emission regulations become more stringent, boiler owners seek the lowest possible emissions to meet the newest standards, to add plant capacity without increasing overall plant emissions, or to minimize NOx emissions to offset costs. These costs have been over $80,000 per ton. CataStak can substantially reduce NOx emissions to meet the toughest standards to generate off-sets or obtain valuable emission credits.

CataStak is designed as a cost-effective answer to reducing stack emissions. It does not require ammonia storage tanks, ammonia vaporizers, and complicated control systems based on NOx measurements. Rather, it is designed for stand-alone operation with minimum operator intervention.
The advantages of a Nationwide Boiler CataStak include:
• Easy field retrofit - no burner or fan
changes required
• Simple controls - minimum operator intervention
• Low operating cost
• Stand-alone operation
• Dramatic reduction in stack emissions
