Nationwide Boiler Inc., an innovative leader in the rental boiler industry, recently appointed Gordon Judd as their new Business Development Executive. Judd’s efforts will be focused upon the organization’s approach to sustainability and the emerging changes necessary to support the decarbonization initiative. In addition, Judd will support the sales activities of Nationwide Boiler’s fleet of rental, new and used package boilers, air pollution control equipment, feedwater equipment, controls, and related systems, to increase sales and to develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Gordon Judd joins Nationwide Boiler with nearly twenty years of management experience grounded in critical utility infrastructure operations. Judd has been involved in developing various renewable energy projects including solar, geothermal, carbon capture and sequestration, and recently completed an innovative 30 million gallon per year water recovery project in downtown San Francisco, exceeding expectations and allowing the city to reach their 2025 reuse goal six years early. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from CALPOLY, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the United States Navy, and an MBA from Golden Gate University in Walnut Creek, California.
With the shift from fossil fuels to more carbon-friendly options for boilers and related fired equipment applications, the company is dedicated to continuing their legacy of innovation in the industry by offering sustainable solutions. This includes the use of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for regulating NOx and CO emissions, electric boiler options for zero emissions production, future hydrogen firing, and other initiatives geared towards sustainability of the boiler industry. “We first worked with Gordon 21 years ago providing a rental boiler and CataStak™ SCR system for temporary use at NRG’s large district energy steam plant in San Francisco. Years later, we worked with him again on multiple projects providing new, permanent boilers and urea-based SCR systems for ultra-low NOx performance,” stated Larry Day, President and CEO of Nationwide Boiler. “Gordon’s experience running and managing a large district energy steam plant brings a unique customer and user perspective to our business. That, paired with his knowledge of renewable energy, positions him well to help us excel in our path towards environmental sustainability.”
For 55 years Nationwide Boiler has provided temporary and permanent boiler solutions to industrial facilities worldwide. In the early 1990’s, Nationwide Boiler became the first rental boiler company to convert their entire fleet to low NOx boilers followed by the introduction of the CataStak™ SCR system for ultra-low NOx emissions compliance. The success of the CataStak is proven with over 200 installations and a returning customer base. In addition to the CataStak, Nationwide Boiler offers new and rental boilers equipped with ultra low NOx burners as well as electric boiler packages for a zero emissions option.
