Nationwide Boiler Inc. raised nearly thirty-five-thousand dollars at the company's 32nd annual Charity Golf Tournament in Pebble Beach, California. This year all donations/sponsorships supported the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) Scholarship Fund, which assists in the post-secondary education and/or training of graduating high school students pursuing careers in the commercial, institutional, industrial or power boilers, combustion, and related equipment (operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code).
In total, over ninety people attended the charity event and fifty-six participated in the golf tournament at the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links. Funds were raised through the sale of cart and hole sponsorships, raffle tickets, silent auction items and a live auction that included sports memorabilia, golf equipment, and unique excursions, all donated from vendors or affiliates of Nationwide Boiler.
"The ABMA's commitment to aid young men and women pursing an education or career within the boiler industry is vital to ensure that our industry sustains future growth. We are excited that we can take an active role in making sure it continues to thrive and succeed," stated Randy Rawson, President/Chief Executive Officer of the American Boiler Manufacturers Association.
Founded in 1888, the ABMA is a national non-profit trade association of commercial, institutional, industrial and electricity-generating boiler system manufacturing companies (> 400,000 Btuh heat input), dedicated to the advancement and growth of the boiler and combustion equipment industry. The organization provides a common ground for information sharing between manufacturers, customers, vendors, government regulators and the public.
