About Nationwide Boiler

Fremont, California, November 13, 2012.

Myriant Technologies has entrusted Nationwide Boiler Inc. to provide temporary steam during the start-up of their Flagship Commercial Facility in the Port of Lake Providence, LA. One 82,500 lb/hr trailer-mounted Nebraska boiler, EconoStak economizer, feedwater van and blowdown heat recovery unit have been quickly supplied to aid in the expected 30-million pounds of bio-succinic acid to be produced annually. Myriant's Lake Providence plant is scheduled for start-up in the first quarter of 2013 and will be the largest facility of its kind in the United States.

The US Department of Energy awarded Myriant with a $50-million grant in December 2009, and the US Department of Agriculture chose Myriant as the first renewable chemicals plant to be awarded a loan guarantee. The money has already helped create over fifty permanent jobs, as well as two-hundred and fifty construction jobs in Lake Providence.

Founded in 2004, Myriant Technologies is the industry leader for production of high-value, bio-based "green" chemicals that are used in processes that make every day consumer products. The chemicals are created from renewable, sustainable feedstocks rather than the traditional petroleum base to reduce their carbon footprint. Chemicals produced include bio-succinic acid and other bio-based products that integrate easily into existing processes and perform equal to or better than petroleum-based chemicals.
