In rapid response to an urgent international need, Nationwide Boiler Inc. has secured the sale of one (1) new in-stock 200,000 lb/hr, 750 psig / 750°F superheated steam, skid-mounted package watertube boiler to a major refinery in Israel. The boiler, Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) model FM120-124 unit, will replace boiler equipment that recently failed due to a catastrophic event, leaving the plant in immediate need of high-capacity steam production.
Nationwide Boiler’s sales and engineering teams worked swiftly to evaluate the refinery requirements and offer a solution that met the needs from both a technical and timeline perspective. “This was a highly urgent and sensitive project, and we knew there was no room for delay,” stated Nick LeJeune, Nationwide Boiler’s Business Development Manager. “Our team worked around the clock to evaluate multiple options and identify the best, most immediate solution for our customer. It’s a great example of what we do best—quickly delivering reliable equipment and support to satisfy the needs of our customers.”
The equipment supplied includes one (1) B&W package watertube boiler equipped with an EconoStak economizer, PLC-based combustion control system, and Nationwide Boiler’s proven CataStak™ Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for ultra-low NOx performance. This complete equipment package reinforces Nationwide Boiler’s commitment to supporting clean, efficient, and reliable steam production around the globe and on an expedited basis. Nationwide Boiler is currently working through logistics coordination with their local partner, C.Hagay, and the equipment is being prepared to ship from the Port of Houston. Upon arrival, the boiler will be offloaded for truck delivery to the refinery.
Nationwide Boiler has long referred to the 200,000 lb/hr FM120-124 B&W boiler package as their “World Boiler”—a standardized, high-capacity system that the company continuously stocks and has delivered to customers across multiple continents. With a proven track record, this boiler design has become a staple in the company’s inventory and a go-to solution for large industrial steam applications worldwide.
“This project is a testament to the strength of our global boiler program and our ability to respond quickly to customer needs—even in the most challenging of circumstances,” stated Jim Lieskovan, Vice President of Sales at Nationwide Boiler. “In this case, we leveraged our stock inventory and industry connections, including our Middle East partner, C.Hagay, to provide a critical steam solution for a refinery impacted by recent conflict. It demonstrates how Nationwide Boiler’s experience, resources, and partnerships allow us to deliver when reliability and speed are essential.”
In addition to the 200,000 lb/hr ultra-low NOx boiler package, Nationwide Boiler will be supplying two (2) additional CataStak SCR systems, which are needed to bring additional refinery boilers into alignment with Israel’s stringent NOx and CO emissions requirements. Nationwide Boiler has provided reliable boiler solutions across six of the seven continents, cementing its reputation as a trusted partner for industrial steam needs worldwide. From emergency response to long-term capital projects, the company’s depth of inventory, engineering expertise, and commitment to customer success continue to set the company apart on a global scale.
