March Tradeshows - WRBA & WTUI

Tradeshow season is in full force, and Nationwide Boiler will be on the road again in March for two more tradeshow conferences.

To start us off, Larry Day will be visiting San Diego, CA for the Western Turbine Users Conference (WTUI) at the San Diego Convention Center, March 10 – 13. If you plan on attending the show, be sure to stop by our booth to visit with Mr. Day and learn how Nationwide Boiler can provide your company with proven and reliable solutions with our CataStak™ SCR System for gas fired turbines, reducing emissions to as low as 2 ½ ppm NOx.

That same week, Nationwide’s Sales Engineer Tim McBride will travel to Portland, OR for the Western Regional Boiler Association Conference (WRBA), March 12 – 14. The show will take place at the Red Lion Hotel on the River in Jantzen Beach, OR and will include a number of presentations with specific topics related to boiler operations. To see a preliminary agenda for the conference or register for the show, visit the WRBA website. And don’t forget to visit Mr. McBride to obtain information about our complete line of rental boilers, new and used boiler systems for sale, emergency contingency planning and low NOx solutions.

Boiler MACT Update

The U.S. EPA published the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Major Sources: Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Boilers and Process Heaters; Final Rule Jan. 31 in the Federal Register. This has started the clock for compliance with the rule. Existing structures will have until Jan. 31, 2016 to comply with the rule, while new sources had until Jan. 31, 2013 or the startup date, whichever is later, to comply with the rule.

The Boiler MACT Rule requires owners of industrial, commercial and institutional boilers to comply with the EPA’s standards for air pollutants, including mercury. It will affect 1,700 existing major source facilities with an estimated 14,316 boilers and process heaters. The EPA also estimates an additional 1,844 new boilers and process heaters to be subject to the final rule over the next three years.
