Record Amount Raised at 39th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Nationwide Boiler recently wrapped up our 39th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and we are excited to announce that this year, we raised a record amount in support of Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and the American Boiler Manufacturers Association Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund. With the generosity and support of 56 golfers, 106 banquet attendees, and over 50 corporate and individual sponsors, we raised a grand total of $64,000! A huge thank-you to everyone involved for the outpouring of support.

The tournament began on Wednesday, May 8th with a practice round of golf and scramble competition at the Poppy Hills Golf Course. Guests worked up an appetite for our traditional Clam Bake Buffet that evening, where we raffled off an ounce of gold to the lucky winners, Scott & Carol Sanders from HTS. We also announced the winning foursome from the scramble, which included Grant Carter & Jack Oliver from ADCO Companies, and Jon Craig & Nick Kammeyer from C&C Boiler, two of our long-time representative companies.

Tournament play began bright and early the next day at the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links. Guests participated in several fundraising activities both during the round of golf and that evening at the awards ceremony & banquet. These activities included mulligan sales, best ball competitions, a unique card raffle game, and silent and open auction events. 39th Annual Golf SponsorsUpon conclusion of our Roaring Twenties theme banquet, the following tournament winners were announced:

Jack Oliver, Longest Drive
Christian Neal, Callaway Division Champion
Grant Carter, Handicap Division

Congratulations to the winners and thank you again to all of our tournament sponsors and donors. Be sure to save the date for the 40th Anniversary of Nationwide Boiler’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament, scheduled for May 6-7, 2020.

Remember, giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference. We intend on continuing our tradition of giving back to charitable causes like Make-A-Wish® and the Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund for many years to come.

Golfing for a Good Cause!

Next week Nationwide Boiler will be hosting our Annual Charity Golf Tournament in Pebble Beach, CA. This will be the 36th year Nationwide Boiler employees, vendors, customers and friends will come together for a memorable two days of golf while supporting a worthy cause. Our tournament beneficiary will once again be the ABMA’s Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, created to aid young college-bound students interested in the boiler industry and related fields of study.

The tournament begins on May 4th with a practice round of golf at the Spyglass Hill golf course, followed by a tournament reception and clam bake at the Inn at Spanish Bay. Tournament play will commence bright and early on May 5th at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. That night, we will host a Scottish Golf themed awards banquet and ceremony at the Inn, with a Scotch tasting bar and a photo-op with a bagpiper!

Last year the tournament raised $60,000 to donate to the scholarship fund, and we hope for another successful event this year. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, and attendees. Without your support, this event wouldn’t be possible. See you next week at Pebble Beach!

Nationwide Boiler Celebrates 35 Years Giving Back to the Community

Nationwide Boiler's 35th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was a great success, with a donation of $60,000 to the ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund. The ABMA noted that this was the largest amount ever donated to the ABMA!

Nearly 50 golfers arrived at Pebble Beach early Wednesday to take part in a practice round at Poppy Hills Golf Course, followed by our traditional Clam Bake Buffet reception that night. Tournament play commenced on Thursday at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Golfers raved about the scenic view and great experience offered by both courses.

Thursday night over 100 guests joined Nationwide for a Mardi Gras themed awards banquet and reception to celebrate 35 years donating to a charitable cause. The men's low gross winner, Justin Hoose, took home a beautiful crystal trophy while Angela McGowan took home the first place crystal for the women. A $1,000 card raffle was held, as well as a silent and live auction containing various items generously donated by Nationwide Boiler's customers, vendors, representatives and colleagues. Additional funds were collected through cart and hole sponsors, as well as mulligan sales the day of the tournament.

We hope that all who attended enjoyed their time at Pebble Beach, and want to thank all involved once again for your support.

Next year we will continue our tradition with tournament golf at the Pebble Beach Golf Links and lodging at the Inn at Spanish Bay. Save the date - May 4 - 5, 2016. We hope to see you there!
