This year Nationwide has added a new tradeshow to our agenda: PaperCon 2016, hosted by TAPPI. Nationwide Boiler has been a TAPPI member for nearly 30 years and has continuously supplied boilers to many pulp and paper companies that are part of the TAPPI organization.
PaperCon is the largest pulp and paper technical program in the world. The event will take place next week, May 15 – 18, at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, OH.
Visit Nationwide Boiler’s Director of Sales Bill Testa and Eastern US Business Manager Jim Barbeau at Booth #136 to learn about the many products and services available for pulp and paper companies, including mobile boiler rentals, contingency planning, new and used boiler sales, and more!
Next week Nationwide Boiler will be hosting our Annual Charity Golf Tournament in Pebble Beach, CA. This will be the 36th year Nationwide Boiler employees, vendors, customers and friends will come together for a memorable two days of golf while supporting a worthy cause. Our tournament beneficiary will once again be the ABMA’s Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, created to aid young college-bound students interested in the boiler industry and related fields of study.
The tournament begins on May 4th with a practice round of golf at the Spyglass Hill golf course, followed by a tournament reception and clam bake at the Inn at Spanish Bay. Tournament play will commence bright and early on May 5th at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. That night, we will host a Scottish Golf themed awards banquet and ceremony at the Inn, with a Scotch tasting bar and a photo-op with a bagpiper!
Last year the tournament raised $60,000 to donate to the scholarship fund, and we hope for another successful event this year. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, and attendees. Without your support, this event wouldn’t be possible. See you next week at Pebble Beach!
This week Nationwide Environmental Solutions will be traveling to Palm Springs, CA to exhibit at the Western Turbine Users Inc. (WTUI) Annual Conference.

Last weekend Nationwide Boiler hosted sales representatives from across the globe for a Nationwide Sales Rep Team Meeting. We felt it would be good for each of our reps to get to know each other, and for our reps to meet all of the members of the Nationwide Boiler team.
The weekend began on Thursday evening with a “meet and greet” social hour at the Doubletree hotel in Newark, CA. Friday morning the meeting commenced with a buffet breakfast and an introduction by each representative company. The theme for the event became known early on as “Don’t Let Us Drop the Ball”.
Throughout the day, topics of discussion included communication, sales support, boiler rentals and equipment sales, environmental issues and products, and branding. We wanted to make sure, as a company, Nationwide provides our partner reps with complete transparency as well as all of the resources required to successfully market Nationwide Boiler’s equipment and services to our potential clients in their respective territories. And we want to make sure that we “don’t drop the ball” on any current or potential jobs. We ended the day with a cocktail hour followed by a tappenyaki style dinner at Nijo Castle.
On Saturday, we invited all attendees to our shop for a tour of our 26,000 sq. ft. facility. We were able to have quite a few pieces of equipment on display for those reps who had yet to see our boilers in person. After the tour, we headed to Leman’s Karting for an exciting team building racing event.
All in all, it was a successful and fun weekend. We hope that our reps are now more educated and confident in promoting Nationwide Boiler to the world!
